Larry, this is a beautiful painting!! And what scenery...I'm so jealous that this is "right out side your backyard".
I do pop in from time to time...love all your photos...especially of the rusty anchor you found! I'm curious...what brand of camera do you and your wife use or like the best?
What a beautiful painting!! Thank you so much for dropping by all the time, I love how your wife and you read my blog! It cheers me right up! Happy Easter!!
Hey Larry...Luv this painting, reminds me of vacations spent as a child at Pt Pleasant and Seaside Hts in N.J. Can't forget those days we went crabbing in the bay too. Caught an occasional eel...YUK.
Thank you for the nice comments. I have a few pieces of art at the New Jersey Repertuar Theatre. The crabs are starting to come in after a slow start, so should be some good eating soon. The eels thing, Yuk too! We have fisherman who catch eels and send them over seas.
I am an established folk artist, who enjoys tinkering with the digital camera, thanks to my wife, who is a professional photographer.
My subject matters in art lean towards coastal, and other water scenes, as well as Vietnam War folk art.
I was a USMC door gunner in Vietnam, 66-67, serving at Dong Ha and Marble Mountain.
I received the Purple Heart.
Beautiful and interesting artwork on your favorite subject.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I have fun with these isolated areas. There will be more coming as I complete them.

Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice being so close to the water and all its beauty. I have only scratched the surface here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
My camera is a hand me down from my wife. A D200 Nikon digital, and she uses a D300 and D700, both Nikon digitals.
What a beautiful painting!!

Great painting Larry and I love the name "Chippies Shanty".
ReplyDeleteCatherine
Hi Catherine,
ReplyDeleteChippies Shanty is just down the road about a half mile at Jenkins Creek boat ramp.
A good place to get fresh blue crabs."Yuuumm!"
Hey Larry! I use acrylic. It's more affordable for me and an easy clean up.
ReplyDeleteHi Kendra, I can agree on the affordability and cleaning. The colors are so crisp and clear, and very nice to look at.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! Love the whole scene and especially the colors you've used! I love your art! Very impressive!
ReplyDeleteHi Lavender Dreamer. Thank you for the nice comments. I am working on another one of a scene St. Michaels, Md.
